I was 8 years old when WWII was getting wrapped up.
My Grandfather was a self taught historian re the elite libs $crewing Americans behind closed doors. He was afraid that FDR would become Woodrow Wilson #2 and make all types of agreements with Stalin and other enemies of America.
He disliked Truman, but he felt that he was better than FDR being another Woodrow Wilson #2 as WWII was being wrapped up.
We are the same age.
My parents also disliked FDR, for all the same reasons, plus he lowered the draft age to18. This caused my only brother to be drafted straight out of high school in 1942, subsequently to be killed in the Battle of Saipan in July of 1944.
Indeed, we have seen a lot of history in the making.

Yes under FDR, you could be graduated from High school at barely age 18 and then killed or seriously wounded 6-8 months later.
