How can anyone still watch NASCAR?
Ok, I'm confused. If they are a welcoming sport for all, do they also welcome those who don't worship the homosexual community? If not, I don't think the understand the term, "for all."
When you see a sport or a company join the woke bandwagon you must realize that they have decided they are finished with your generation. They believe times are changing and you only have a decade or two left alive anyway so they are hoping to rope in some of the next generation; The generation that doesn’t even remember a year that started with 19.
That’s much of what’s up with Disney. While in your mind Disney equals kids it’s actually no longer true. A 2018 study of the demographics of Disney World visitors by business consultant Street Light Data found that only 36.7 percent of the guests had kids under 18 in their household. They don’t care about intact families with children. That isn’t who they’re catering to any longer. They are after the affluent single millennials that aren’t married and may or may not ever have children. The younger people who are totally down with all types of gayness because they have been steeped in that crap for the last two decades. That’s where they believe their future profits lie.
The same sort of thinking is no doubt at the core of what’s happening with NASCAR. The suits have done the math and determined that the older people who don’t like this nonsense are no longer a factor in their bottom line. Or, at least, they soon won’t be. So, they are done with you. You are no longer their market.
Honest question: How do liberals take over even the most conservative organizations like churches, NASCAR, Boy Scouts etc.?
nascar=newest american sport calling americans racists...
I’m so old I remember when NASAR was redneck, non-pussified, and homos were quiet if they were there.
Me too.......NASTYCAR is dead to me
Even better when it was pre-NASCAR and bootleg drivers were outrunning the cops.
Eff NASCAR...
Get woke, go broke.
This is not going to endear them to their fans.
Keep politics out of sports
Companies need to stay out of politics. Period. The sane majority of the public doesn’t care what your CEO or BoD’s opinion is. Just shut up and do your business.
“”How can anyone still watch NASCAR?””
It’s the same with some NFL fans. During pre-game show, the players could defecate on and burn the American flag on the 50 yard line and some of those stooges will still watch the game. They’re really disgusting people.
Every time one of these squirrelly pronouncements is made by the suckups at NASCAR, it just affirms to me in spades that I did the right thing in swearing off NASCAR when Jeff Gordon retired. From one weeikend to the next, I can hardly wait to ignore each upcoming race.
Once an organization goes woke, they just keep digging deeper and deeper holes for themselves.
They are on the road to self-destruction—the only way to fix it is to fire all the executives and start again...
You do miss all that at first but you quickly find other things to take up the time. For me, it was hiking, camping, reading, listening to music and learning how to cook more exotic recipes (not necessarily in that order).
I'm much better off for it. Though I do "cheat" a little by watching clips on YouTube of favorite shows or movies. Even some old sports highlights.
Right now I'm reading some Raymond Chandler. Very good stuff and it beats your average television show by a mile.
Yeah...it’s sad. I now live within spittin’ distance of Bristol Speedway in TN. But now...I have no desire to go see a race...NASCAR being what it is and Bristol being a short track and all.
I just now mentioned this latest swishy crap from NASCAR to my wife. She replied, “I always felt that all the macho redneck guys would keep NASCAR from going limp-wristed. It’s an awful disappointment to realize they couldn’t.” I wonder how many of the good ol’ boys still are loyal fans?
Precisely.
So Phelps said in the recent past that Nascar doesn’t want to associate with politics left or right BUT kowtows to all the liberal lunacy out there, i.e. banning Confederate flags.
Memorial Day Weekend is a racing fans super bowl almost, you have F1 from Monaco in the morning, Indy 500 midday and the NASCAR race from Charlotte at night.
I gotta admit the Indy car races are more exciting, lots passing, because of the speed they end quicker and usually you have a close finish.
Indianapolis was nearly sold out for the Indy 500, when NASCAR comes to town later in the year, they will be lucky to have the stands 50% full.
Stab your supporters in the back and you’ll reap their vengeance!!!!
