I will be working that day since that is not my holiday.
One hundred and fifty seven years after the end of the Civil War and these Democrats morons are still acting as if it’s 1861.
Oh, no, Karens are offended!!!
See my prior post just above. That’s the Juneteenth I celebrate.
It’s a Texas thing. We used to seriously celebrate Lincoln’s Birthday. He freed the slaves. Now we don’t, and we’re supposed to celebrate Juneteenth for that?
No. Just h*** no.
On the bright side at least it is not ice cream filled with candy uteri.
Too bad FR doesn’t have a like button. We really need to start doing that again, BTW. I’m sure rope sellers could use a lift in this economy.
And I’m in agreement with once again celebrating Washington’s and Lincoln’s birthdays, BTW. President’s Day includes numbskulls like Lyndon Johnson, Barack Obama and Butt-Head.
You were a slaveholder when you were younger—so yeah you must apologize for it....
Oh wait.
;-)
From the article: "The pints contain swirled red velvet and cheesecake ice cream flavors"
“Swirled red velvet and cheesecake ice cream”. What does that even taste like? I substituted vanilla and raspberry in my mind as the image seemed better, I guess…
I don’t know. I’m not a fan of red velvet and I’d rather have real cheesecake.
I will not celebrate African American culture....I will celebrate those African Americans who succeed and there are many of them..
HISTORY: Not all slaves were freed by the Emancipation Proclamation, nor via Juneteenth. Only the slaves of the REBEL states were freed then. Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation was a wartime effort to split and weaken the South; he did NOT free any slaves in the Northern states. Slaves in the non-rebelling border states had to wait for the 13th Amendment, effective December 18, 1865.
This is what it means to be a holiday in America.
People should get used to it.
Look what happened to Memorial Day, Labor Day, Independence Day.
They’d have done it to Thanksgiving, too, but we got the day after for them to do it to.
