Cold comfort, knowing they’ve renegged on promises to secure our own border. They have bigger responsibilities closer to home and they’re being ignored. It must tickle Europeans to know the Brandon regime worries more about their plight than US citizens’.

I’m pretty sure Hanoi was bombed in the Vietnam War and innocent Vietnamese civilians were killed as a result.

With the phasing down of Covid fear, the Donbas war heated back up. Putin felt the pro-Russian autonomous areas could not hold out I believe,so he sent in Russian regulars.

“I haven’t seen pictures.”

Google “Putin Palace Gelendzhik” and hit IMAGES.

It is allegedly “owned” by a shell company to provide cover for the actual owner.

The ownership is not certain, but even Russian rich people don’t have such big mansions personally.

This is an observation I think people on FR and the world need to know.

Neither side in this conflict is any good... including the US.

Everyone is simply... bad.

It was a civil war of sorts. I like my Poland analogy (post #32), but your Mexico/Texas one has merit too.

Civil wars are tough to sort out. Heck, we are still arguing about who was right in ours! But one thing is for certain. It was Putin who crossed an international border and started an international war.

Sometimes such actions are necessary. Putin did have his reasons. But they weren’t nearly good enough, in my opinion.

Oh, and one more thing. Even though you evidently disagree with me on this issue, your comments have been reasoned and polite. That’s not always the case here on FR. Cheers, and good evening.

Gelendzhik is a Russian resort town according to Wikipedia.

It might be the Russian equivalent of a country club.

Oh, yes. Putin became a war criminal the instant he invaded Ukraine. George W. Bush became a war criminal the instant he invaded Iraq.

I voted for W once, in 2000. That was one time too many. I should have gone third-party, like I did in 2004.

We apparently know more about Putin’s multiple homes than we do about Joke Biden’s. We should be more concerned about the politicians in America, doncha think?

Some billionaires do. Hell, some of them have yachts that are worth almost as much as that palace.

Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich owns a yacht worth $1.5 BILLION.

It might be; but I haven’t read anything to that effect.

“Author Ian Fleming used the Royal St George’s course under the name “Royal St. Marks” in his 1959 novel Goldfinger. When he died, Fleming was the Captain-elect of the club.”

I think that is the seaside golf club in Sandwich, Kent, UK that the Russian elite might be emulating.

Oh, Joe’s a corrupt bastard, for sure. But if he had a house like that it would have been in Architectural Digest or Town and Country, or some such rag. So we’d know about it.

His wife and kids are Christian. Why would Israel hand them citizenship? Probably fake news.

The war has been ongoing since 2014.

It escalated considerably when the bought-and-paid-for US media was ordered by the Deep State to cover it wall-to-wall, 24/7, and be sure to go heavy on the sob stories to keep The View-watching suburban housewives on the Democrat reservation..
