How about this one? If Trump were to win in 2024, the Democrats and the assistance Democrats like Romney quickly assemble hearings on the 2020 election, declare Trump the winner in 2020 and then demand he resign because he is now ineligible to be elected in 2024.

Not at all likely (except the part about Romney being a lackey for the Democrats) but fun speculation.

Tell them when THEY (the Dims) depose Brandon, unwind all his orders and signed bills, and inaugurate DJT for his full 4yr second term, starting now, we will consider the 3rd term issue. Until then, pound sand.

“Trump didn’t serve two terms.

So, the premise is complete garbage.

Also, if democrats believe that Trump did win the 2020 election, it means that there are many political officials and government officials, due to be indicted for theft of an election that ‘Trump won’. So, no!!!, democrats won’t and can’t pull that stupid stunt.”

The premise is not garbage when you know how stupid the dims can be e.g., men can have abortions The dims are literally shameless and will do and try anything and no one will call BS on them. Read that thing again because you didn’t read it all or if you did you didn’t read it correctly. I wrote it very broadly. and I also said that they could somehow use Trump running for a “third term” as an excuse to run obama. Why, because they literally have no one to run. obama is probably the only dimocrat who can get above 50% approval.

That argument might be good for laughs - but that’s about it.

I’d be more worried about the Democrats convicting Trump of some bullshit insurrection nonsense over Jan 6th, and disqualifying him from holding office on that basis.

That would require 2/3 of the senate, which seems unlikely when they failed twice already, and he is not currently holding the office.

However, it is Constitutionally possible.

-First, he would need to be impeached a third time by the House.
-This would challenged based on the fact that he is not currently President.
-SC might rule that an out-of-office President can still be impeached, since one of the available judgment if convicted is disqualification from holding office in the future.
-If the impeachment passed the House and went to the Senate, and 2/3 convicted, they could choose to disqualify from running in 2024.

But they better do it quickly, since the Senate will likely be more Trump favorable after November.

Didn’t say anything about popular vote. Read those 4 sentences again.

I am cool, I simply wanted to discuss this scenario with other Freepers. You got some projection going on there. Maybe you need to cool your furrowed brow.

that doesnt matter in this case. I’m suggesting a totally weird scenario where desperate dimocrats are trying certain tactics to keep Trump off the ballot.

I’m asking Freepers to consider the scenario I pitched and comment on that.

“Vote for no one over 70.”

Speak yourself. People age differently. Most people don’t suffer dementia.

I think cognitive tests like the one Trump took should be required.

I like it. And not too nutty for dimocrats, then again, nothing is too nutty for the dimocrats.

“See, I was going to call this post stupid, because Trump clearly hasn’t been President for a second term. But then I realized that the 22nd amendment actually reads, “No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice,” which isn’t what you argued but ...

Oh, wait... it’s still stupid. Presidents are elected by the Electoral College. Trump may have been elected by the people, but hasn’t been elected in the sense of the 22nd amendment.”

You didn’t read what I wrote entirely. We all know Trump wasn’t elected to a second term BUT the premise is, that in their desperation the dimocrats will try to imply that since the republicans say he won and don’t recognize brandon as the president, then it counts as two terms thereby keeping him off the ballot in 24. It sounds crazy but you and I know that the dimocrats have no shame and will make contradicting statements and the media rather than call them on it will instead back them up.

“And the Constitution limits it to eight for any individual.”

Actually, it limits the presidency to two terms. In my opinion, with the election fraud proven beyond ALL doubt now with the documentaries Rigged and 2000 mules, there is sufficient information to pursue fraudsters and have Biden/Harris removed as fraudulent and charged criminally.

In that scenario, Trump would be restored to office and would be eligible to run again in 2024 under the two term rule and by virtue of the theft of his full term duly won in 2020.

Would seem a just outcome. HEY! A guy can dream!

“As long as they invalidate EVERYTHING Biden has done, including USSC nomination.”

Think about that statement. She’s been confirmed already.

As of today, we have 10 Supreme Court Justices.

When in our history have we filled SCOTUS vacancies before the vacancy actually occurred?

The next Republican majority in the house and senate should just go ahead and fill the next 5 anticipated SCOTUS vacancies that will occur. Why not?

“I must’ve missed Trump’s second inauguration.”

You missed the four sentences I wrote as well. If you want to play please at least read the scenario. And use your critical reading and thinking skills as well, before you reply any further.

The premise is not garbage

The premise is still complete garbage, since, it wouldn't even get past first base as soon as it was introduced as a reason to stop Trump from running again. Not court at any level, would even take up the argument, and no TV or journalist would even agree to talk about it.

That’s a great idea, it really is. The dimocrats have set a precedent and may not realize what they’ve done. If the Republicans take back the oval office in 24 this would be a hell of a strategy.
