Jason Riley is missing the big story. Chicago PD lost almost 10% of it’s force in the first 9-1/2 months of 2021. They lost over 900 officers and hired 51.

It is so very odd, isn’t it? I’ve never been able to figure that out.

I’m 70. I’ve encountered the police maybe a dozen times, three for speeding, one for a lost dog dispute, twice for vandalism on our cars, a couple of false alarms at our house, a couple of tours of police stations with our kids and Cub Scouts, and at our annual block party.

I’m surprised I’m still alive after all those encounters. It’s all due to the fact that I’m a Person of Pallor.

Maybe. Maybe not. Consider the liberal point of view. Stability is what the black folks need. If BLM helps them to stay on the bottom rung of the American economic and social ladder, that represents a stable situation for them. They won't move up the ladder and they will stay on the plantation we built for them.

Above all, they won't be coming into our gated, guarded communities.

If ever there was a mystery, it is black political behavior. It seems every single black talking head on television and every single black politician is a screaming radical on every issue under the sun (abortion, "transgenderism," etc.). It also seems that all the black people we know personally support these people. Yet the everyday blacks themselves remain what they have always been--West Virginia snake-handlers with a tan.

Just the other day there was a lady representing a black church parked outside a supermarket with a sign saying that J*sus is coming soon and "are you ready?" And a little while back the same church had a table set up claiming they covid vaccine is the "mark of the beast." So what's going on?

Is it possible that these everyday blacks are not aware of their political allies? Is it possible the Democrats tell them that the Republicans are the supporters of homosexuality and abortion?

None of this makes the slightest bit of sense. It's like the everyday blacks and the political and media blacks are two different dimensions that only connect at election time.

Anyone have any theories?
