Not failing, just using the concept of explanation which you will not answer. In Russia, the majority is whatever its told it is. So you obviously represent the majority of your fellow Russians as you have been told.

A too costly war (WW 1) by poorly equipped and trained conscripts for no good reason was a significant factor in the fall of Czar Nicholas.

If Putin doesn’t make it, his successor would be wise to “Stalin” his image; stop the war; withdraw the troops; and proclaim himself the leader of a new Russia.
They would be back in the world in a few months. And the new leader would be more powerful than Putin ever was.

As for tanks, I believe none of these numbers from either side.

Online Russian news reports of funerals, photographs of destroyed vehicles, and combat video show significantly more Russian deaths than what you claim. There are more than 500 dead Russian soldiers' photographs posted in this Telegram channel alone. It is a very sad thing to see, so don't look if you don't want to feel the sadness of many Russian families, wives, parents, and children left behind because of Putin's ego.
Using a 4 to 1 ratio if the Russians have had 15,000 killed they would have 60,000 wounded. That is about 40% of the invasion force. Those are terrible numbers for Russia.
Okay, 500 photographs mean much more that 5,000 deaths. That’s perfectly logical. Or not.
It is astonishing how they are able to continue and kick butt. Or maybe something doesn’t add up with numbers.
Lets try some math. Is it likely that there are 500 pictures of dead Russians, but only 400 dead Russians? Unlikely unless some of the Russians resurrected, and that is an infrequent occurrence.
How likely is it that somebody running one Telegram channel rounded up a picture of every Russian killed in the war? It would have been pretty hard to do on the Moskva, and in a lot of places with active combat nobody is taking close up pictures. Notice that the channel I provided a link for does not show groups of dead Russians, just close ups so that families can try to find their lost loved ones.
So if less than 5000 Russian soldiers have been killed the person running the Telegram channel has found more than 1 in every 10 Russians that died. That's pretty unlikely.
It is actually more likely that the channel only has pictures for 1 in 100, or 1 in 200 dead Russian soldiers.
