We didn’t get Romney, but we got obama instead.
In that election we had a choice between a democrat and a communist.
Lose/lose all around.
Mormons are convinced Mitt’s presidential material, and they have some prophecy that says a Mormon will be elected President before the end of the world.
Be glad it’s moving at a snail’s pace. We do not have enough honorable scholarly representatives we can trust if we open that Pandora’s Box presently.
None of the Mormons in my family, who live in Utah, think that about Pierre.
The usual suspects.
Let’s hope they do.
Cheap Labor Express!!!
Make RINOS endangered.
The USUAL USEFUL IDIOTS.
None of the Mormons in my family, who live in Utah, think that about Pierre.
“Mayorkas, a former head of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and deputy Homeland Security secretary, will be the first immigrant to hold the top DHS spot.”
If that isn’t “putting a fox to guard the chicken coop”, I don’t know what is.
The usual suspects.
You bet! What a miserable person and even worse politician.
All of them are unfit for ANY office. We truly have the most pathetic people in office. If they were there only for entertainment, it would almost be funny.
Mitt Romney got on the ballot using signature petition, a method the Legislature instituted to bypass the State party Caucus.
The following explains it fully: https://ballot-access.org/2014/11/25/utah-republican-party-will-sue-to-eliminate-petition-bypass-for-primary-ballot-access/
The next part brings you up to date. The lawsuit failed.
Signature-gathering alternative
In 2014, Utah laws changed to allow for candidates to gather signatures as a way to bypass conventions. In order to successfully bypass a convention, a candidate must collect a certain number of signatures. The number of signatures required changes depending on which office a candidate is pursuing.
For a statewide race, including an election to be a senator for Utah, a candidate must get 28,000 registered voters’ signatures. For a congressional race, the requirement is 7,000 signatures in the district. For smaller races, fewer signatures are needed. For a state senate district, a candidate needs to get 2,000 signatures and for a state house district, they would only need 1,000 signatures.
Wrote this about 6 AM Mt time and got distracted. Hope it is still a question.
One thing is for certain if we continue as is...we’re finished and if there was anything the Birchers got wrong in 60 years...it is this.
One thing I will say for the democrats, they always vote the parties way, right or wrong. If we could get rid of these RINOs, maybe we could get somewhere. Mitt Romney is the worst of the lot.
huge bs
Collins and Murky have two interesting things in common: Their states have both RCV and RCV-enabled voting machines.
