“They didn’t, Others did and went to prison,”

But did they catch all of them or just 2 out of 3?

When travelling to the Soviet Union back in the 80’s, the 386 processor in my lappy was forbidden to be carried there. I had to get a waiver.

[Over under on how long till they shoot a NATO plane or airliner and claim it was Russia?]

So far, Russia and Russian proxies are gold medalists, by a country mile, re shooting down civilian jetliners:

Possibly a similar article. Looked through your posting history for the word “pouring” and did not see any matches.

[They will be heading into the black market, and US carriers will be the targets as long as their is a supply of batteries, or a power source can be jury-rigged.

Yes, I worked this issue while assigned with the IC.

There are some weapons we have no business exporting without solid controls. This is one of them. But we never learn.]

We have a pretty comprehensive list of shootdowns of civilian planes because they’re so rare. At most a handful have occurred a result of MANPADS, typically in war zones.

The majority of shootdowns have been carried out by Russia and its proxies, using Russian or Russian-derived gear.

They are rare because of the controls put on them, and battery life. When controls are removed, acquisition agents move in. It no longer becomes an issue of keeping a weaponized tennis shoe out of an airline.

Placing 1 in the flight path of a US/Western hub would do it. Imagine 3.

LOL...battle-hardened soldiers learning about their new weapons in the great outdoors...and one of them is wearing a mask. Can't be too careful about COVID upon the air when you are headed off to war and likely death.

That might be the US 'advisor' or 'contractor' who is providing the training - the mask also conceals identity (and keeps Diaper Joe from screaming in rage, if he sees the photo during a briefing ;>)...

Good point about concealing identity — hadn’t thought about that.

My thought exactly. The consequences of involving ourselves with a deeply corrupt Ukraine may be far reaching.>>> I don’t consider the US much better. Say Biden lost and cheated the courts protect the cheaters. Walk anywhere near the hallowed capital. go to jail. FBI and CIA successfully defeated the Trump presidency. Coup started in 2016 and is still going on. Try to protect your daughter from a sexual pervert in your school- go to jail. Go to church — go to jail or have your finances ruined. Open your business have your life ruined.

Yeah the USSR did a lot of that. That ended 30 years ago. But right now the Nazi party of Ukraine would be thrilled at anything that would cause us to intervene in their side. See also false flag gas attacks in Syria.

Don’t know about finding a particular word in search but it was the same war zone article - someone was looking for that info then. No biggy.
