“Will the world finally be ready to adopt digital wallets now that their lives may depend on it?”
When that happens say hello to total government control.
Oh, boogity, boogity, BOOGITY! We are supposed to be cringing in primordial fear of some illusionary monster exemplified by the COVID-19 Wuhan virus.
That ain’t no way to live, not now, not ever. While there have been a number of deaths occurred, a large proportion of those deaths attributed to COVID-19 virus complications should actually be reclassified to “died WITH COVID-19” rather than “died FROM COVID-19”. Most patients recover, with few lasting effects, and there seems to be a relatively long-lasting immunity conferred.
Oh good God.

We should be happy about this? Why bring up COVID on objects now that thatโs been long debunked? And a poor excuse, anyway!
(say hello to total government control)
Yep.
(The traditional payments ecosystem expose countless people to the risk of a COVID-19 infection)

Yeah. That’s what’s happening. That’s the ticket. ๐๐๐
Get that all-electronic currency going with no cash.
Will that be right hand?
Or forehead?
Thank you for cooperating, Global Citizen.
Repent! Wear three masks and a Hazmet suit! Boil all food and bleach every product bought into your home. Stay inside.
Run for your lives!
Sorry not gonna cringe In fear of a virus variant that is now almost 100% survivable, nor in fear of the original virus with its massive 99.95% over all survival rate.
Cash is just fine. Not afraid of germs from a virus that doesn’t kill mostly
Not only no but NO.
I’m using so much hand sanitizer, I disinfect the bowl every time I pee.

“[cash] expose countless people to the risk of a COVID-19 infection”
Oh please. The whole idea of it communicated by touch was investigated and dismissed in the summer of 2020. The author can keep his mask on for all eternity, but leave us alone.
That said, I do love ApplePay. It’s the convenience that I find so useful. I hate the fact that I may be enabling a “social credit score” by using it, though. But we’ve been using credit cards for probably 90% of our purchases the past 20 years anyway, so it really doesn’t make any difference. They could cut off or restrict purchases as easily on a credit card as on any contactless payment device.
This article was originally published in 2020, but re-published this past Friday. I know some of this has been debunked, but some of it’s still valid.
If anyone has articles debunking it, please post them...
So cash is dirty...
How about shopping malls?
Grocery stores?
Public restrooms?
Public transpo?
Gonna ban all those too?
Controlling cash isn’t about public health anymore than the rest of CoupFlu policy is.
I’m not; they want to.
Sorry, I was directing my diatribe at the author of the above swill.
In any case, someone ought to tell the financial wiz that fomites aren’t an issue with CoupFlu.
Bring on the filthy lucre!
Now tansacting everything in cash that is possible to do so.
Feeling like a dinosaur but someone has to do it to keep these yo-yos honest.
Same thing with paper receipts. Never fail to ask for one.
Small biz will love you forever, especially those with thinning margins. Transaction fees are a killer. Can’t tell you how much good will and great service we get for using cash. :-)
Government using fear to promote digital currency that they can seize under multiple pretexts.
Thatโs what people should fear. The federal government seeks to kill, steal and destroy the American people.
Thats pretty much all government. Not just Fedzilla.
