A church elder who spoke with KCRA 3 said the church — including its gates — were closed at the time. The only person who would have been there was the caretaker, who the elder said was not there.
Sacramento City Council Member Eric Guerra tweeted that the shooting was a mass casualty incident.

Both of those observations can’t be true? Unless this was outside the normal use of the church. Mondays are usually not meeting nights with protestants...
There are an awful lot of police cars there, but I haven’t seen any ambulances, paramedics etc.

No, people were apparently there for some meeting or other.
Could have been meeting with the pastor? We’ll find out soon what exactly happened.
That’s why we need to keep the victims of this tragedy in our prayers.
