Accurate, concise and depressing reply.

the state legislatures should have been given the opportunity to weigh in, and determine for themselves which slates should represent their states

Well, since the appointment of Electors is the (only) plenary power assigned to State Legislatures in the Constitution, and since there were 63 days between November 4, 2020 and January 5, 2021 for them to do that if they wanted to, why do you suppose they didn't?

who certified a stolen election

Where in the Constitution do you find anything about Congress (including the President of the Senate) "certifying" anything?

It's amazing how many people on this pro-Constitution website keep bringing this up.

Congress is to conduct a public ceremony where the votes cast by Electors appointed by their State Legislatures are counted and announced. It cannot take place in secret, and it must involve both branches. Since the Electoral Count Act, if not before, the floor is open to objections.

But they don't "certify" anything. They announce the result.

And "certify a stolen election"?

Where in the Constitution do you find ANYTHING about "Presidential elections"?
