I respectfully disagree. This is a blue area phenomenon. They wanted it, let them get it good and hard. The only thing we should be doing is moving the remaining conservatives in these areas to America. The looted states should remain as bad examples.

If a group of poor whites from WV who lost their jobs because of environmental regulations were to loot Ms. Hannah-Jones’ residence, would that be considered violence?

How many people who vote in midterm elections are really paying attention?

They could bury a clause in the fine print that 10% of the population will be executed at random every year, and as long as the voters were promised free stuff at the top it would still pass.

Even in Republican, formerly safe Spokane, there are robberies and shootings downtown, in the best part of town. Not happening in my neighborhood, and we do have a couple of very good restaurants nearby. The best one is, of course, downtown. Hope they move.

I would like to think that this breaking and entering mob of criminals were only interested in blue state thievery and destruction. Fact is, they have been doing the same thing nation wide since before and after Pres Trump was in office. This is a part of the planed and organized, communist method of helping to destroy the legal system of a country. Any person who voted for Joe Biden, owns not only the ongoing lawlessness that is being committed by organized gangs, but the well planned treasonous actives of the current govt that is headed by a faux president Biden. The American public does not even know who is really in control of our govt. Certainly not brain diminished Biden. A legally elected president would not be tolerating the nationwide mayhem, from illegal immigrants into the states with impunity, to the same attitude toward no consequence destruction of whatever a gang of criminals has been led to destroy. It is all planned. I repeat, Biden supporters, and voters, along with RINOs are directly to blame for all of it.

Why is it when black savages loot white businesses nothing happens; however, when the black criminals try to loot Mexican neighborhoods, the black looters are met with armed Mexicans setting up barricades on the streets and the black criminals are beaten and chased back into their crap ghettos?

BTW, the question is rhetorical.

California is essentially a direct democracy. Any average Joe can put up a stupid law and the masses can vote on it. Not a good idea. Things like that needs to be voted on in the legislature. If we don't agree with the laws passed in the legislature, we vote out our Representatives, period.

No wonder California is drifting towards anarchy. They need to have a constitutional meeting and amend their Constitution and make it difficult for propositions to be added to the ballot. But they should keep the recall, I think every state should have that, it forces their elected officials, especially the Governor to be accountable to their voters.

Background on this:

-----

https://lao.ca.gov/BallotAnalysis/Initiative/2021-007

Background
“Direct Democracy” in California. In 1911, California voters approved the constitutional processes of initiative, referendum, and recall. Through these processes, voters can adopt a change in law (an initiative), disapprove a law passed by the Legislature (a referendum), or remove an elected official from office (a recall). While these processes have evolved somewhat over the past century, state and local initiative, referendum, and recall campaigns still generally involve the circulation of signature petitions to place measures on the ballot. County election officials have to verify the validity of thousands of voter signatures on petitions. Campaigns to support or oppose such measures regularly raise millions of dollars to develop proposals, fund signature-gathering campaigns, and present their viewpoints to the public at large.

-----

So at one point it was decided that the voting public at large could do the work of the legislature. A problem with this is that the voting public at large is amateur about legislative deliberation (it's not their day job, after all), and prone to impulsive and poorly-thought-out decisions.

And here you have the results.

I call B.S… the minions figured out there is no need to follow any basic tenants of society.
When the public figures out they outnumber cops by thousands to 1 and the. Add in no consequences or threats to being arrested and charged.
If you try to protect yourself or interfere in the crimes, You are now the villain and will lose everything.
You have the recipe for total society breakdown and a total anarchy.

California will turn into Brazil. The wealthy will live in enclaves guarded by private security. Everywhere else will be like the favelas in Rio de Janeiro. It affects the rest of us because their “refugees” will move to remaining 49 states with their liberal voting habits.

I’ve not seen much with regards to smash and grabs outside of the usual states. With respect, I disagree that this should be handled as a national issue. Local laws that favor self defense and a plethora of armed citizens in America will resolve this problem. In the deep blue states what can I say? Karma.

Of course. In WV they have not given up the right to self defense, nor have they embraced left lunacy. The race of the perpetrators is irrelevant. One code of law for all.

The deep blue states have chosen poorly. Not our circus, not our clowns.
