People used to believe that riding in an open car at over 20 mph would kill you and later on that flying faster than the speed of sound was very dangerous.
Things are said to be impossible until they are not.

UAP is more accurate, that’s all. A lot of those sightings don’t involve solid physical “objects”.
That has been done. Interceptor aircraft have also fired upon them. No hits. There was an F-89 Scorpion that fired on one in the 1950s. The “swamp gas” shot the Scorpion down. In general, governments all of the word came to the conclusion that the “swamp gas” was mostly harmless, but it was probably a good idea to ignore them with malice.
Those objects are here. It is only safe to assume that they know how to "fly around" the speed of light using means we do not yet know anything about.

What that research might be for or about, I have no idea. But our government does NOT want the public to be knowledgeable about many, many things. It is much easier to control the ignorant.

I noticed an uptick in this stuff during Obama terms. Even mentioned it to a colleague. Died away under Trump. Raising its head again. Remember, “Take advantage of a crisis, either real or manufactured”. We are being conditioned to believe anything.
UFO lore says that the military also uses IAC, meaning Identified Alien Contact.
I suspect we don’t know all of the laws of physics. We’ve only been at this 150 years or so.
