My solar panels are making 15,000 watts right now and my home is using 1200 you do the math I’m selling to the grid at 30 cents kWh power right now. Yesterday my panels made 180kWh I used 40 and sold 140 kWh to ERCOT. I could have charged two Teslas from 20% to 100% yesterday and today another two it looks like. I’m willing to bet no one has a personal oil well in the backyard with a three way oil gas separator, fractional distillation tower and hydrotreater to make 87 octane fuel in their backyard but I do have panels that can fuel two Teslas per day in addition to running my home 100% off grid. Total cost was $18,000 panels, install and inverters grid tied with an LLC to sell surplus power at market rates not the BS netmeter rates. An LLC in Texas is $300 to form and some legal paperwork for the TIN numbers. During the Feb black out my home was the only one with power and heat. I h as f a big BBQ and all my neighbors came over to warm up and eat briskets and what ever else they brought defrosting and spoiling from their fridges. All seven of my fridges and freezers stayed at temp. I even charged my buddy Evan’s Tesla for him totally off grid. House was at 80 degrees and the indoor pool was at 78 all heated and pumped with solar heat and solar PV electricity. I couldn’t have asked God himself for a better demo of solar power and off grid superiority. Homes in this area are $750K plus that’s before the current housing bubble. A 15,000 watt system can be had for $18,000 or less installed now that’s a tiny fraction of the total value of a million dollar home on acreage such as these. If you have the funds you never need to be dark or cold.

"House was at 80 degrees "

Impressive but, 80 degrees is a bit to warm for me.
