They missed the top reason: there just aren’t enough non-dems in CA anymore. Dems overwhelmingly rule that state’s electorate.
I’ve long thought that part of the problem with recalling Newsome is that it’s very late in his term. That never makes sense to me. He’ll be gone in a year anyway, Elder (or whoever) would only be in office that short time, and would presumably start running to keep the office at some point in the not too distant future. So I can see viewing this as a big waste of time and effort. Which in the end it seems it was.
Mine is to avoid patronizing the companies that are working against us to the best of my ability.
By now we all know who they are, yet most of us are still putting money into their coffers.
Which is sad, because stopping that cash flow is something we can all do now.
Once again, the GOP and conservatives fell into the trap of being dissenters to the Left’s policies instead of offering a politically compelling vision and credible policy alternatives. This made the general public and swing voters unable to see Larry Elder as a credible choice.
I never saw Elder campaign speech. In 2001 we had Schwarzenegger speeches and his message got out. Remember “blow up the boxes”? Referring to Stare unnecessary departments like CAL OSHA. He was elected and almost immediately compromised. I have a feeling that history suppressed turnout.
Rinse and repeat.

Kalifornia is the over indulged child who started smoking pot in middle school and his stupid libertarian parents said, "At least it's not heroin."

The Message Wasn’t Focused on Newsom’s Failures
The camouflage crew (media) worked over time to hide all his failures no skid row/drug problems/crime/murders/partying during the lock down coverage.
When Republicans face the modern world of surplus value with the psychology of dog eat dog, survival of the fittest scarcity psychology, they are going to end up behind the 8 ball. This is what technology has delivered to humanity - escape from feudalism. We either come up with a better formula for ending human misery or face extinction. It’s that ding dong simple.

In other areas, keeping pressure on your state reps for election integrity reform is equally key.
PA is moving. Not optimally but it’s moving because of the pressure from citizens.
A number of other states are ahead in examining and updating election integrity.
As anyone can see, when it occurs, the shrieks of pain from the Rats should offer insight as to how important all of this.

The recall failed because California wishes to stay on the social road. The remainder of the nation isn’t far behind.
Running a black candidate only appeals to white conservatives.
Why did the California recall fail? Here is the one reason: it’s California and a Trump Republican will never win a statewide election. They don’t need fraud to guarantee that.
