George Floyd’s parade and statue cost a lot more than that.
I wonder if this is the same guy.

While the officers involved may have been concerned about the lawsuit, they were cleared by internal affairs, in spite of the evidence against them. They suffered little personal loss. After five years of litigation, one can only wonder how much of the $50,000 went to Picard’s lawyer fees and court costs.

This is part of the problem. The police really screw up, but suffer no financial consequence themselves. The taxpayers pickup the tab for their screw-up.

They are Government workers of course we are going to pay for their F ups, and until the people fight to change it, it is what it is.
Law enforcement is an arm of the government. It has guns, mace, clubs, handcuffs and the ability to deprive you of property, liberty, and life. This ability must be used responsibly. When it isn’t, because of the violation of trust, the perps must be treated harshly. Loss of job and pension, to start.
Deprivation of rights under color of law.
The police are not your friend.
They’re the standing army the Founders warned us about.
Worthy of a ping?
After murdering Daniel Shaver, and being acquitted, Philip Brailsford was rehired so he could collect his pension.
They're the standing army the Founders warned us about.
I highly recommend a YouTube channel called audit the audit. It covers dozens and dozens of cases similar to this and is very fair and how it treats the person being stopped by police and the police themselves and sometimes the police are the right party and the person being stopped is the wrong party.
In this era with a rigged system, I no longer have faith in that level of justice.
Ben Crump and Co. seem to be in a suicide by cop drought good thing these refugees are coming in to backfil the fake victims.
Defund and disband all law enforcement agencies whose leader is not directly elected by the people. They are become an insult to liberty and a mockery of justice.
Yes, the same guy is in the New York First Amendment case. I sent him an email, and he promptly replied.
New York has appealed the District Court ruling to the Second Circuit.
There should be a ruling in the Second Circuit no later than June of next year.
