Well, there you have it! The precursor to Lois Lerner’s hard drives and every storage media that ever held anything incriminating about powerful Democrats or campaign fraud by Democrats.
That’s not very convincing.
Write only memory started as a joke in the early 70s at a company called Signetics. Among the numerous official looking “technical details” they listed in their product catalog for WOM was number of pins remaining (on the chip carrier) vs number of socket insertions.
Thing is, on reflection by engineers WOM was in fact used, only where the chip writing the data couldn’t read but another chip could. This was at least used in some Yamaha sound chips.
Apple’s mention of it was, of course, continuing the joke.
But given the ability of data on Democrats and the Deep State to just up and disappear — or that maybe a hard drive’s warranty should be voided just for Lois Lerner operating the computer it’s attached to — maybe it has something to offer satirist?
