The soy is powerful with this one.
Oh, and then there was this bit:
"Once, having lost count of how many bullets were in the magazine, I put the pistol down with a live round in the chamber. Noble quickly spotted my error and cleared the chamber; the unfired bullet dropped to the floor where it fell into a grated collection channel.
That's exactly how many firearms accidents happen, Noble said: when even experienced shooters don't make sure the chamber is empty when cleaning or re-holstering their pistols."
I don't know about anyone else, but I usually do a press check to make sure that there IS a round in the chamber before I put a pistol back in the holster.
In any event, the gun shop looks very nice. I'll put it on the route planner next time we're passing through Vermont.
So NOT the ultra deadly .22LR?
Give him a Mosin M44 carbine with a military load, 7.62X54, and see what happens.
IF it ain’t chambered, it’s a hammer.
I remember firing 12 gauge shotguns and an 1870s Springfield 45-70 as a boy of 12. Didn't scare me and it was fun!
Not even a real rifle caliber.
Hand him a .308 and see what he says.
A Captain friend of mine tried his 7.62 rifle on an indoor range , it went through the backstop across the field and into a house , he didn’t know it was a .22 indoor range ,D’oh
“It is difficult to describe the impact — physical and personal — of that first shot. It felt like a meteor had struck the earth in front of me. A deep shock wave coursed through my body, the recoil rippling through my arms and right shoulder with astounding power. Being that close to an explosion of such magnitude — controlled and focused as it was — rattled me.”
What a fruit. They should have had him fire something really high-powered.
Somehow, I doubt that he’s an advocate of Israeli carry.
He mentions that the store had a rifle chambered in .338 Lapua. Give him that!
But I like what I learned about that store.
“I’m not sure what scared me more — the power of that weapon or the fact that I could have taken one home that day.”
What should really scare him is that millions of Americans of the opposite political persuasion own them and know to use them.
Is this an old report? A couple years ago I read some reporter’s girly-man reaction to shooting the very mild .223.
Hell, a standard .30-06 would give him a stroke.
Press check...yeah. This is the way I taught the Wife to chamber. She was having a problem pulling the slide back.
A little change and viola!
Hey fruitcake, Biden likes shotguns. Try a 12 gauge.
Imagine him with a 7mm Mag....
Next week he’ll do a story on his adventures learning to drive a standard transmission.
Mr. Macallum should be embarrassed.
