I was on a fishing trip where the fires where still smoldering on the lake shores. We got hit with a storm and the localized fires were out in an instant. Amazing to watch.
Haven’t seen hide nor hair of this here on The Jersey Shore.
Right now (2:51 EST) it’s raining, temp is 74 and the humidity is 84%. A bit muggy and damp , that’s about all.
The same as what happens after a big volcano eruption.
I think it’s called wind currents.....

If you were at all knowledgeable about western (non-California) management practices you’d know that Washington’s program a couple years ago prevented a conflagration near Wenatchee last week. In fact, only one electrical junction box was damaged instead of homes and outbuildings.
