I like Ted Cruz, but no. I will take DeSantis or Trump over him every time.
Why would anyone want a Supreme Court Justice that thinks Anwar al-Awlaki’s kids, born in Yemen to one citizen parent, are natural born citizens eligible to be President?
If he is, they are.

Ted Cruz understands what Trump was doing with the insults. Trump induced Ted to illustrate why he would not be suited for the Presidency. Ted showed by his reaction that he would be unable to deal with the Democrats. That exchange which disgusted me when I heard DJT turned me from a Ted fan to Trump all the way when Ted fell apart.

Last I checked, Canada, was a FOREIGN country.
It’s NOT about “citizenship”. It’s about the constitutional requirements for the office of president and vice president.

Obama could have been born in Hawaii and he is still not a natural born citizen because his foreign Kenyan British subject father made him a Kenyan/British subject at birth.
Natural born citizens are naturally citizens because they could not possibly be anything else, born here of citizen parents.
Anyone born with more than one nationality is not naturally an American.

I am just curious when Ted’s mom actually filed for Ted’s citizenship.
I don’t think it was until he was in high school and needed a passport for a school trip.
Not eligible, Cubans born in Canada are not natural born citizens.

Ted Cruz was born in Canada. His mother was a U.S. citizen. His father, a Cuban, was not. Under U.S. law, the fact that Cruz was born to a U.S. citizen mother makes him a citizen from birth. In other words, he is a “natural born citizen” (as opposed to a naturalized citizen) and is constitutionally eligible.

His father did not become US citizen until 2005.

Cruz has been a very solid Trump supporter. The Left is obviously trying to stir up divisions between Trump and his allies by picking at old wounds.

Natural born citizen was chosen as the strictest standard for excluding the admission of foreign influence on the office.
Only those who are naturally citizens because they could not be anything else are natural born citizens.
Anyone born with more than ONE nationality is NOT naturally an American.
I know people are still made because he was a bit slow to joining Team Trump, but Trump did, insanely, imply his father killed JFK, which was comical lunacy.
