Try Arizona in 118 degree heat. I’m so acclimated to the summer heat I don’t even bother to turn on my van AC if I’m just going a short distance.
Yup, cut off your AC so the elite can stay nice and comfy!
I lived in the central valley without AC. I know what heat is like, but it’s a dry heat. Over 90f here today at 78% humidity. It’s a little hard to acclimate when the temps pinball like they do in VT, 3 Saturdays ago we had an inch of snow.
WOW that would be hard to take.
So how are those windmills working out?
Most utilities incent their customer’s to sign up and have their thermostats cycled during hot periods but the customers are aware and can opt out up to 2-3 times if they have company or reason to NOT cycle it.
I don’t have a smart meter.
Comed (electric company) offers AC Cycling (requires a “direct load control” switch to be installed) or Peak Time Savings as options that come with a dollar reduction on the bill.

I chose Peak Time Savings
