It’s more complicated than that, because what we call the Left is based on a pack of lies. The people that vote for Leftist politicians have been so thoroughly deceived that we can’t know how they really feel based on their vote.
I know a lot of people that voted for Biden, and most of them want what we want. Security, jobs, prosperity, a good education, freedom, etc..
They have been deceived into believing that Trump is corrupt and will jeopardize all that good stuff..
…that Trump and his supporters are the wealthy racist 1% who will take everything for themselves and let the rest starve, especially the brown people..
…that Trump will destroy the planet with fossil fuels.
…that Trump and his supporters will sell us out to the Russians just so his family can get even richer.
…that Trump and his supporters will abuse power and ruin our “Democracy” (they think this is a Democracy).
I think upwards of 80% of American people have conservative values, but roughly half of them have been deceived into voting against their own best interest.
For decades they have been indoctrinated with Marxist propaganda via the fake news and a corrupt academia.
There is a bell curve IQ distribution so it stands to reason that those on the left side of the curve would succumb to the brainwashing. We call these people Democrats and RINOs.
They may be dumb, but that doesn’t mean they are Marxists at heart - it just means they have been fooled by Marxists.
I can’t prove this is the case everywhere, but most of the Democrat voters I know are very good people who want the same things I want - they have just been badly misled.
OK, those are some reasons for it, but the end result remains — they’re anti-Trump.
They’re sheeple voting against their own best interests because of their ignorance or stubbornness. Do they listen if you try to respectfully enlighten them?
That reply gives me just a little bit of hope. But only a little.
I don’t know what can be done about it though. So many refuse to make the slightest effort to dig a little deeper and seek the truth on those issues. So they keep voting the commies in even if it is against their own core values.
If they cant be enlightened ( too stubborn? … too dumb?) then it doesn’t matter what their values are, the end result is the same.

One problem is the Left has the “appeal to authority” fallacy down to an art form. They get Obama or Fauci or some celebrity to say something nonsensical, and stupid people are convinced just because of who is saying it.
I can make perfect sense, but I’m not a celebrity.
I always end up at pride. Admitting one’s self is or has been wrong is a hard thing for most people to do. For some it’s nearly impossible. Especially nowadays. And especially for women, blacks and Millennials.
(I was wrong once, but I divorced her.)
