Agree, but they're extremely expensive and create obstacles in every direction, not to mention the risk factors for the crews.
Our unmanned spacecraft have and will go where man cannot, for probably hundreds of years into the future. The data they have already collected and being collected will be studied for many decades to come. I like to think of unmanned missions as paving stones or reconnaissance missions for man.
