He was not an ABC journalist; at the time he broke the Clinton-Lynch meeting story, Mr. Sign was a reporter/anchor for KNXV, the ABC affiliate in Phoenix. A year later, he turned down an offer from one of the networks (believed to be Fox) to return to Birmingham, the city where he launched his TV career, as main anchor for ABC 33/40, the same station that employs James Spann, arguably the most popular local TV meteorologist in the country.
The death is being investigated as a suicide. So far, I haven’t heard what factors led to that determination. From all I can gather, there were no problems at work; he was married with three sons, and haven’t heard any mention of family or financial troubles, either.
Of course, no one truly knows what’s going on in someone else’s mind. Might have been a suicide, but then again, his 2016 report was one more nail in Hillary’s coffin and it pissed off a lot of powerful people—and some of them have long memories and unlimited resources.
Portions of Hoover, AL (where Sign lived) are in Jefferson County, the largest “blue” enclave in the state. Wouldn’t be hard to engineer a cover-up in that part of Alabama—if one occurred.

I use to never believe in Arkancide, but seeing how justice has been run in this country over the past few years, especially now, I believe it 100% absolutely. These mofos are getting away with murder and nobody does anything.
I was also reading about the Seth Rich case. Gunshot rings out 430AM in a neighborhood watch zone, cops using Shotspotter detect where the shot came from and are there in 60 seconds.
4:30AM, anyone on the street at that time or in a car is a suspect yet he gets away? No witnesses waken by the shot in the neighborhood watch zone? No cameras in the area that videotapes anyone in the area?
I just bring this all up because here we are 5 years later and nobody talked? Nobody bragged about the killing? That’s what usually happens when it involves an inner city thug. The 1999 murder of Amy Watkins in NYC was solved that way. There was zero leads and like clockwork a few years later the thug bragged about it, and someone turned him in. Thugs brag, professional killers do not.
