I’m torn on this one. I agree with the libertarian side of it, although I think it will keep (maybe increase) human trafficking. I also think at this point in time we have a lot more pressing issues to worry about than prostitution.

Only San Francisco could screw up decriminalization of prostitution.

Lots of countries have done this and almost all prohibit street solicitation. They move it to the Internet and brothels where it won't be a public nuisance. Now, these folks will have to dodge hookers as well as the homeless and their feces.

Could they devise better plans to destroy a once beautiful city?

Well, it kinda makes sense in a way. If you get rid of this type of crime that’s fewer cops you need. Plus, no telling how many politicians are getting freebies anyway.
