Orthodox Conservatism is an enemy to the American people.
It has brought us endless war, open borders, unfair trade and surrender to domestic commies. It is the intellectual center of globalism.
They became the enemy of their own nation.
Conservatism without nationalism is like faith without works. And of no use to anyone.
It’s interesting and true. But, from a completely different perspective, the GOP “establishment” has always been the norm of the party and it’s the new Trump voters that are new/different
After the ‘60s and 70’s the southern white working class that USED to be democrats shifted to republicans and Goldwater’s movement solidified that, (also all the 90’s Waco Clinton stuff and everything else). Then right when the party decided it had to modernize for widespread appeal and shifting demographics, it instead took a hard turn for Trump and his immigration policies because of these same voters
Now this same demographic has amnesia and doesn’t realize they were never Republicans in the first place and mistakingly think the party left them or it has somehow changed

… It didn’t suck when it fought segregationist Democrats to ensure equal application of the law. It didn’t suck when it fought against communism for half a century, and then won. …But nothing was done to halt the creation of the United Nations, with a charter patterned after Stalin’s USSR constitution and a mandate to eventually become the one-world government dreamed about by leftists—and the possibility of ending communism (which we did not win against, since Red China carried on after the USSR’s breakup and Bill Clinton along with his successors save Trump gave aid and comfort to, to the point of allowing them to expand their power to the level of threatening the entire Pacific possibly) died with its creation.
Because of the way our elections work, 51% being the winner, both parties are big tent organizations. Whereas the core of each party is, about 35% liberals for the Dems and 22% conservatives for the Republicans. So, in order to win an election, a politician has to appeal to enough of the people who are not natural members of their party to turn the stomachs of those people who are natural members. This creates a lot of difficulties for those politicians who are conservative as they must appeal to people many in their 22%, or so, (give 0r take) would like to shoot, shovel and shut up about. That’s just the nature of the beast.
Yeah, that it does. I left the Democrat Party 25 years ago.
I wonder more than ever these days why I bothered.

I still wonder how much of that was due to them focusing more attention on burning eccentric preachers and their flock, along with searching for a nonexistent army of Timothy McVeighs.

you can clean house in the red states by retiring gope incumbents and voting out populist national America First candidates (many may be ex-dem) from dog catcher up. pay special attention to SOSes.

I’m very glad to see that Liz Cheney is gone, but they replaced her with one of the most liberal Republicans in Congress — 33 percent from Heritage Action, 36 percent from Conservative Review, and 44 percent from the American Conservative Union.
Their only principle is to have no principles.
Their only strategy is preemptive surrender.
Their only plan for victory is to tick off their base as much as possible.
The Republican Party was founded to replace the Whigs because the Whigs would not take a stand on the key issues of the day. They did such a good job of replacing the Whigs that they have become the Whigs.
But you know what stinks even worse the the GOP? The Dhimmicraps.
My impression of Politics today, jump on board, it doesn’t matter if you are Republican or Democrat, its the same for all who want to be in the in crowd. What matters is you can be made rich in two years so long as you cooperate with your co workers in Congress. (They have a good thing going behind those closed doors, and you can’t tell me different. Folks, its all about their $$$$$$$)

After 45+ years of dealing with this USELESS party I am FINALLY DONE!! Until we decide that this is NOT EVER going to change and start a NEW PARTY we get what we deserve!!
