Red State is using words like “mired” and “controversy” in this hit piece disguised as journalism.
The attacks are coming from the Left and “Right”, and are fooling many gullible readers.

I AM NOT.

THE BOTTOM LINE: A law still needs to be passed that bans transgendered males from participating in women’s sports. This HAS NOT BEEN SIGNED INTO LAW IN SOUTH DAKOTA. PERIOD.

I could care less who’s governor. It needs to be made law the way other states have made it.

Her legislature could have deliberately offered her up a bad bill, too.

If so, the problem is she was caught flat-footed by that.

And yes, that is a problem.

All these hit pieces are because they fear her.

Uh, no. There are substantive reasons to question her actions in this. The primary one I have laid out in several of these discussions here is that in her own press release outlining the changes needed in the bill, she wants people to be able to merely file an affidavit certifying their sex. What the hell is the point of the bill if you allow such a huge loophole so mental defectives can just make an end-run around it?

That is a substantive issue, which I have seen no one defend.
