There’s an elephant in the Bronx Zoo that disputes the quote of “I did not have a sexual relationship that was inappropriate”.

Not gonna give him that much credit. Pure sociopath.

Most of them probably are. It is no stretch to suggest that this kind of stuff happens a lot. The reactions of various women differ. But the engine that gives rise to the behavior of the man, presuming he acted in the way Cuomo is said to have acted, is the same. Any sexual activity is downstream from the main motivation, which is to dehumanize, to abuse, to intimidate, to exercise dominance, to show off one’s unchecked power. Sometimes it doesn’t even matter if the victim is a man or a woman.

Psychopathy is potentially more immediately dangerous than sociopathy. But the latter is arguably more blameworthy. Who truly knows the mind of the b**t one?

I would point out that I’ve coined the term socioempathy to describe far too many people in our society.

A dominant feature of a socioempath seems to be that they imagine that they can validly feel vicariously for others what those people ought to feel, in their estimation, or rather in the estimation of the ideology under which they labor, under any given circumstance.

Please note: they aren’t actual sci-if ; fantasy empaths able to do this, but they’ve come to believe they know what people ought to feel.

A key difference between sociopaths and socioempaths is that any collection of the former in society will likely be like herding cats whereas the latter easily attach to each other in common causes that arise like mini-zeitgeist and indeed what we call virtue signaling is for the socioempath an important part of any system whereby these zeitgeist storms are moderated. Virtue signaling serves two purposes, yes the first is to announce what they think are the valid feels in a given circumstance but just as importantly it is a way to announce their being part of the good people (so please don’t hurt me!).

The upshot is that socioempaths are unique in that they are self oppressing as a group, not needing an outside force to functionally oppress them. It goes without saying that they seek to oppress the bad people, for their own good, as well.

Those are some of my thoughts, but in them you may see how PC and Woke may have created something new. Or at least something previous generations were simply not pampered enough to indulge in as is being done now.

What word do you have for the drivers who stop in the middle of the road, determined to give their right of way to you.

Ha ha

Though years ago I might have said “Oklahomans” since there was a time when Oklahomans were said to yield to traffic on the access road when exiting from the highway.

And I guess an Oklahoman might have said Texan for similar though opposing yielding reasons.

We were talking about psychopaths and sociopaths, and I was just bringing up another idea for your consideration.

Rampant virtue signaling is an astonishing modern development, as is the growing public enthusiasm for the mental and emotional brutality of gaslighting.

Those who do either are unlikely even to have heard of the applicable term much less understand that what they are doing is so socially corrosive/destructive.

I too would consider what I described to be an inherently irrational process, one of feels, both easily manipulated and driven to whatever extreme there may possibly be.

I’m tempted to describe the Woke in terms of a proverbial flock of murder birds, that not only viciously attack outsiders but are obnoxiously loud because they have to constantly convince the rest that they aren’t outsiders (who will then be torn to ribbons).

Convince the rest that they aren’t willing to use their own minds to come to rational condemnatory conclusions about the narrative the murder bird flock is pushing.

Woke 101

Whatever the self-ascribed good people are doing at the moment must be good. To question that is to be a bad person.

They say there is safety in numbers. That may be so but that kind of safety is only temporary. Eventually everyone will be singled out.
