I finally started telling people: Look at it like having 2 dogs you wish to breed. IF both dogs are registered, with known pedigrees, the puppies CAN be registered.
IF either dog is NOT registered, with a known pedigree, the puppies are MUTTS. Those puppies CAN NOT be registered.
