Point being is I don’t think hospitals “get away with these kind of things” all the time. It is possible you are selling hyperbole as fact
“All the time” — a rhetorical device. Means often, regularly, all too often.
As in, “We go there all the time.”
So what I do know is that hospitals do not as a matter of policy either try to keep patients nor prevent visitation. You have stated something that could connote this is a matter of policy.

The fact that you are unable to even cite one such thing without so huh deflection clearly demonstrate the fallacy of your position. Ergo the statement you made is untrue and meant only to promote false information for the purpose of misleading people.
