I’ll say it again: here in Hollywood, it’s EFFING IMPOSSIBLE to follow COVID rules.

In the past 2 months, I’ve been on sets where one guy was yelling to wear masks but cant yell at the stars on-set. Then discipline breaks down, and to get the perfect angle for the camera, the camera guys just remove their masks because sometimes they are running with the camera. If the 1st camera crew remove their masks, then the 2nd unit does it. Then the producers show up not wearing masks. So it’s all stupid.

Yeah, you really don’t know the context here. I’ve heard a lot worse than this over far lower stakes.

Cruise also played Les Grossman - that character had some epic rants in “Tropic Thunder”. This does not even come close to those. He didn’t even threaten to rip someone’s t!ts off.

So it’s all stupid.

When you see someone peddling down the street on a bike while wearing a mask, with no one else in sight, you realize that we aren’t just governed by idiots.

We’re surrounded.

maybe cruise has a point.

I'm giving Cruise a pass on this one. Anyone who has ever been a supervisor or manager knows that when your employees are not following directions and jeopardizing safety and your ability to operate its time for a full on tune up.

I am sure he tried several times to say it nice but was ignored. Good for Tom.

They got chewed out and had it coming, I've been chewed out several times and sometimes I had it coming, but I'm not a snowflake. I bet for some of these soy-boys its the first time someone called them out and they don't know what to do.

Celebrities are exempt from all labor laws which apply to the rest of us. At work and at home (with the illegal help).

In all fairness, he’s actually right. No one forced people to work this movie, and Tom has put up quite a bit of his own money to make it. Supposedly the rules had been laid out right from the start, and they had already suffered a few delays to Covid.

Not saying I agree with the Covid hype, because I don’t. but if a person knew the standards when accepting the jobs, then the standards need to be followed. Otherwise, find work someplace else..

Masks are useless. It was a publicity stunt. Nothing more nothing less.

“How did he not get the ever loving hell beat out of him right there?”

Tom is never too far from some big burly dudes that protect him, likely assigned to him by Scientology.
