I’ve been saying this for some time......and been told I was crazy for even suggesting it on this board multiple times.
Peaceful secession would be better than civil war. I for one am quite willing to separate from the communist states and let them go their own way.
So what? It was ENTIRE states that entered into the pact known as the USA. Counties go with the state. If you don’t like it vote with your feet.

When one or two counties run rough shod over a state and turn a red state blue your saying throw the baby out with the bath water?
Pennsylvania only has two blue counties: Pittsburg and Philadelphia. You are going to need those red counties.
A process needs to be started where the state legislature meets and votes to expulse the two bad counties from the state. This would be excepted by the Federal Government and Pennsylvania stays in the union.
States such as New York that have smaller red areas could still break away and form their own state(West New York) or petition to join a neighboring state(Pennsylvania).
In the words of ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ :”Take everything and give nothing back!”
Haven’t you been listening to the age-old claim that Blue States subsidize Red States? I think many of them beleive they would leave us in the dust economically.
They think we are the parasites.
ENTIRE states secede. Get it? IF CA secedes then part of that state that wants separation they can revolt, fight, or use political means to exit CA. That is not my problem.

Agreed. Not secession, but a sort-of deaccession or dismissal of those counties (not entire states—see much of CA or upstate NY) that continue to threaten the US. We have been tolerant of unrelenting insults and hate. It would be generous to let them operate independently.
We are the US and have a great identity and history. We built this great nation. It is ours. Relocate the collections from the Smithsonian out of DC. Dismiss, with the left, the enormous debt accumulated by the left. Open up entrepreneurship in areas outside left-controlled counties to free those businesses. Establish a stock exchange and commodities market outside of leftist counties. We have ports in Texas and San Diego. We have industry. We have infrastructure, We have education. We have the world’s happiest, motivated, friendliest, and most magnetic culture. We are the greatest nation and society in the history of the world. We have us.

A system of expulsion, ejecting blue counties from the security of the US and the state they reside in. Subject to Federal control they are free to destroy themselves however they wish. But unable to influence Federal or State elections. Sort of a zit that needs squeezing.

Oh by the way Virginia is a blue state, even though every county save Richmond declared themselves 2A sanctuaries. So I do believe if you are a red stater you will have to move. (If Tennessee will have you). That is your reasoning.
1. If California succeeds, how long until Mexico sends an invasion force of immigrants?
2. If red counties in blue states want to align with the US, can’t they succeed from the state, if the state can succeed from the country?
3. Will we be allowed to travel in both countries without papers or borders? We can’t build a 2000 mile border fence with Mexico, how are we going to build one with California, New Mexico, New York?
4. Will we be keeping them out or will they be keeping us out?
5. Does this mean I lose my Social Security?
6. Can we ban Google in new Texas?
7. Will businesses be allowed to continue in both countries?
8. Where will the new Hollywood be?
9. Can we force the liberals to get out once we have seperation? i.e. Can we liberate Austin?

Okay. Please explain 1776 when a large portion of the population wanted to remain with England and sided with our enemy (England) and again in 1861 when the northern states attacked the southern states both economically and physically. If those two examples are “a shared ethical outlook” then I’m totally confused.
Yes, we have had periods when all of the issues you explained were true, but if you study any history you will plainly see it does not last and there are periods when the opposite is true. We happen to be in one of those periods now!

1) Right away but the Federal Border Patrol would still hold sway on that border.
2)Yes, why not. Intact states can eject blue counties, Red regions can form new states or petition a red state to join it. All with Federal approval.
3) No, you will need a visa to pass through these borders.
Most borders will be much smaller as we are dealing with blue counties. (President Trump has built 25% of the 2000 mile Mexican border wall in key areas.)
4)We will be keeping them out. They may want to keep us out but that is their problem.
5)No but it may change the nature of your social security.
6)Yes, Google has been treasonous and as such leaders imprisoned and court control pending breakup due to Anti-Trust violations.
7)Yes but on a supervised basis. None of this in bed like with the PRC.
8)Sure 50/50 Texas/Florida and South Dakota for Northern shooting. Westerns and Hallmark will make a comeback.
9)Expulsion Austin becomes a Commonwealth City State, subject to severe limitations including sending back anyone who is here illegally.
