This is baloney. Just another way to pacify the restless. Pfffft... how many times do we have to watch this movie? Yeah, talk loudly about investigating so we can run out the clock. Is Hillary still being investigated? How about Russia-gate? Isn’t that still being investigated? Maybe Trey Gowdy or Darrell Issa can start investigating something.

Hmm. Your whole blog is cut and pasted from other sources. But you left off this entire part when you pasted it here. Clickbait?

They advised, “The Department will continue to receive and vigorously pursue all specific and credible allegations of fraud as expeditiously as possible.”

Is AG Bill Barr Trying to Cover For His Comments on Voter Fraud?

In his comments to the AP, Barr hinted that accusations of widespread voter fraud were an excuse for some to “use the criminal justice system as sort of a default fix-all” to investigate.

He also minimized what was found.

“Most claims of fraud are very particularized to a particular set of circumstances or actors or conduct. They are not systemic allegations [and] those have been run down; they are being run down,” he added.

“Some have been broad and potentially cover a few thousand votes. They have been followed up on.”

Barr’s comments about voter fraud drew fire from the President’s attorneys almost immediately upon publication.

“With all due respect to the Attorney General, there hasn’t been any semblance of a Department of Justice investigation. We have gathered ample evidence of illegal voting in at least six states, which they have not examined,” a statement from the Trump campaign legal team reads.

Now, however, we have a DOJ official making a statement of clarification just a day later.

“Some media outlets have incorrectly reported that the Department has concluded its investigation of election fraud and announced an affirmative finding of no fraud in the election,” the official said.

“That is not what the Associated Press reported nor what the Attorney General stated.”

What Has the DOJ Been Doing?

Barr’s voter fraud comments also drew the ire of many conservative critics who recognize that, despite all of his bluster, the attorney general has failed to deliver in several areas when it was most needed.

Election fraud, having been alleged for years, is just the latest example.

Bill Barr: there’s no evidence…

Except all the sworn affidavits.

Bill Barr: there’s no evidence…

Except the delivery truck guy who testified the truck & 200,000 ballots went missing.

Bill Barr: there’s no evidence…

Except the testimony of all the military intel guys.

Truck driving whistleblower says he drove nearly 300K “completed ballots” from from NYC to PA…Hey, Bill Barr, will you investigate?

Barr did manage to appoint U.S. Attorney John Durham as special counsel to continue investigating the origins of the Russia probe in the next administration.

Fox News had reported that Durham’s investigation was to continue moving “full steam ahead” and that it was “definitely still happening.”

Why Durham was unable to draw conclusions prior to the election when he was appointed to begin his investigation back in May of 2019 remains uncertain.

There should never have been any doubt about this.

Yes, but ... alas ... there is great doubt about the DOJ and the FBI and the CIA, as with all the other agencies of GovCo these days.

I grew up naively trusting and believing all of them acted with allegiance to the Constitution and America, while in service to us all in both truth and integrity.

Nowadays, I wait to see who they will choose to follow ... US or “them” or themselves ... and more and more often since last century it ain’t us.

Now what?

>I’ll admit, I’ve never fully understood the difference between “effect” and “affect”.

Simple synonyms for the primary definitions of the verb forms:

affect = to influence or change
effect = to cause, initiate, bring about

They are not really all that similar but they sound similar. So the reporter picked obviously the wrong one in a verbal transcription.
