It is not that the Times is confessing this and preparing a mea culpa. It is that they are preparing for the Biden presidency. The story line will be that the COVID tests are far too sensitive and detect harmless amounts of the virus, leading to unnecessary restrictions on economic activity and a shambles of an economy, ALL OF WHICH TRUMP KNEW. Now it will be up to Saint Joseph and the Holy Virgin Kamala to rebuild the wrecked economy and lead us on the path towards the shining city on the hill, socialism!

Well, currently there are a lot of breathless media reports of “spikes,” but my guess is what’s going on with these new edicts that sound exactly like the old edicts in March is the Democrats heard all that cynical talk along the lines of, “Oh, sure. You watch. After the election, all this crap will stop,” and they feel like they have to keep the FEAR going awhile longer as a result to make things look on the up-and-up.
