I see all the comments from discouraged Freepers, but I’m not. Our president is an optimist. And he is also a faithful man. Feet of clay, yes; but still believes that God is in charge. Me too.

For the believers I suggest continued prayer that justice be done.

For other folks, see if there is some small thing you can do to help the cause. If you are so discouraged that you are only capable of giving up, OK, give up. But please with all due respect, shut up. A lot of people are still working very hard, with their eyes remaining focused on the goal. Don’t distract them with your whining, God love you goobs.

This is an environment that decades of Republicans playing nice thinking Democrats are really their friends has fostered.

Statesmanship has meant getting along with Democrats and breaking promises to your voters for far too many Republicans.
