Mortgages that were bundled into Mortgage Backed Securities (MBS) as subprime mortgages had been, were kept hidden out of view because the MBS was a new security based on the credit of the mortgage borrower. This is revealed in court testimonies where prime borrowers sued subprime lenders for fraud.
The actual mortgages were ultimately funded from dollars printed by the Federal Reserve. Banks ‘borrowed’ from dollars created out of thin air to fund mortgages.
But there’s more. The banks ‘borrowed’ more than three times the value of the mortgage note for derivatives purposes. All the future revenue stream was ‘borrowed’ up front.
You don’t pay taxes on a ‘loan’. You call it a loan even though it’s revenue. This is tax evasion, white collar crime.
Why were these individual mortgage notes hidden? To cover up the fraud of the subprime security. Paying taxes on individual mortgage notes would have opened up and revealed the scam to investors in the securities as well as pay a large percentage in taxes. Scammers don’t like paying taxes because it ‘doxxes’ them to the government and interferes with their goal of escaping with the funds as fast as possible, get rich quick, and then take it offshore into secret numbered accounts set up in tax havens and laundered into trusts and foundations.
Because the mortgages were kept off book (illegally), the revenue and proceeds were never declared for taxes. This is tax evasion which has no statute of limitations.
This billionaire heiress could be facing complete financial ruin if/when her inheritance is investigated for tax evasion. President Trump knows about these schemes and they want him gone, gone, gone.
Note also the Sandlers have a ‘Foundation’. Of course they do.
THe Trump family also have a foundation but it’s totally legitimate and very generous, headed by Eric Trump.
Foundations are supposed to be where prosperous Americans take their money to be put towards good works to benefit humanity. But what happens is most foundations fund other foundations in a network of graft. It’s evolved that way because white collar criminals found ways to launder funds through foundations and to pay political bribes.
Nearly every tax evading entity sets up a foundation to launder funds. It’s the ‘in’ thing to do. Such foundations take donations from other wealthy entities including other foundations to form what are in effect slush funds.
Tracebacks on the origins of foundation funds expose in almost every case a US government origin. US aid programs will give to foundations which in turn distribute to other foundations free taxpayer funds that are never taxed.
It’s a giant graft network.
As George Carlin said “It’s a BIG CLUB and you ain’t in it.”
And you never question it because you are made to feel as a ‘little person’. All these big words and foundations and big money interests make you feel small. You’re nobody. And besides, mealy-mouth financiers and lawyers make it all sound so complicated, you will give up trying to understand it, how it affects you and yours. You are deliberately left confused, dazed, you can’t think on it for more than a few minutes. But it affects you, it allows them to have power over you.

Lastly note, the article reports Sandler is a member of Democracy Alliance. This is a highly secretive organization of progressive billionaires, made billionaires created out of thin air. When a member is revealed, a background check of the exposed member reveals ill-gotten gains, money laundering, tax evasion. In other words, the members are not geniuses, not captains of industry, not hard working generational dynasties, they are punks with lawyers.

You are forgetting the order of things liberal.
1) Identify a problem and get government involved. Mandate what businesses can and can’t do, and force them to make decisions that otherwise would not happen.
2) Set up a series of carrots & sticks to get the businesses to fully comply.
3) Businesses find a way to make tons of money...for a while.
4) Crash and burn when reality asserts itself.
5) Government blames the businesses for the mess.
6) Identify a problem and get government involved.
