Maybe they mean the political climate. It has definitely changed and leftists are trying to make everyone miserable since they know they’re going to lose again.

I suspect the Dems purposely let the forests go to hell so they would really take off in wild fires. Then they could blame Trump for not working to limit CO2 emissions. The problem is, the CO2 emissions since Trump took office have mostly been by China. The US contribution to the rise in atmospheric CO2 level has been negligible.
The CO2 emissions from these wild fires must be tremendous.
