You should probably start working on your anti-Biden novel.
I just found a link to your blog on The Liberty Daily titled “Amazon Claims They Banned Anti-Obama Book Because Author Who Wrote it Somehow Doesnt Own Copyright to Book He Wrote.” Did you know about that?
Did you go through the formal copyright process for the US and other areas?
I used to have to do that with photos.
That hasn’t been required for years.
could you just copyright the work in the US and limit distribution to the US and give them the copyright #?
So Amazon is now the Protector of Orthodoxy, the Enforcer of Speech Rules, the official watchdog that eliminates you for the wrong thoughts.
It is if you ever want to enforce your copyright in court.
But, its $20. Not worth it I guess.
My work was.
Email says clearly show them documentation, Karen. Trying to promote your book eh?
The person is promoting their book. Please dont inject common sense into this
If the grammar in the book is as good as the headline of this post, I can appreciate Amazon’s reluctance to host it.
This is unfortunate but a fact of life in the business world.
Sometimes it can take years to prove things to the satisfaction of a company (such as AMZ) that doesn't need your work to continue doing well, and sometimes they just cease doing business with you for their own reasons anyway (such as to limit their exposure).
lol
Yes, I knew about it because my blog tells me where my traffic is coming from. But thank you for telling me, because you didn’t know that I knew.
No. I just checked off all the necessary boxes when I published it four years ago.
I could, but that’s not the real reason they banned it four years after publication. This is just one more of their many bogus excuses to ban it.
They already approved if four years ago. Now they’re just coming up with one bogus excuse after another to ban it. Their previous excuse was that I did not own the right to the public domain photograph that was on the book’s cover.
Amazon hosted and sold the book for more than four years. Only now are they objecting to it.
maybe it is a new policy designed by their internal legal department to help shield them from any possible IP lawsuits? figuring that the seller should be able to afford to jump the relatively low hurdle of copyright fee and time to set it up online. might be worth a consideration if not already done so...
