The Herr Doktor FauxiMengele, Gates, big Pharma crusade to stop proven HCQ treatment has killed thousands by government diktat.
In a free country governors should not have the power to dictate allowable health care for political and financial reason.
And, no, Robert de Long, Trump would NOT be acting dictatorially, but rather cancelling the tyranny of Democrat governors whose decrees have and are killing thousands of Americans.

HCQ is already available to all doctors.
It’s the states that prevent its use. Plenty of states have chosen to not block those drugs from use against COVID. Texas is one that had a medical body briefly block HCQ use, then doubled back and allowed them again. That was not a federal issue.
You help show how many people on Free Republic don’t understand they are a part of a liberal Sham.

HCQ and the other drugs are still fine for off-label use. Those that are experimental were not, and Trump helped address that, too.
The president is not a king to overrule governors. Trump has no authority to do what Sham and a couple others are saying.
No, you are being Shammed.
Sham has no basis for his comments and, in fact, Trump has often been the only one pushing HCQ use from among the world’s leaders.

Uncle Sham makes the point that HCQ should be released from state governors’ prohibition.
But it can’t be done.
here’s a refresher that you might find enlightening. Among the highlights, the Dems actually wanted Trump hauled before the Hague and charged with crimes against humanity for daring to recommend HCQ. Another highlight is the tens of MILLIONS of doses produced by American companies under the war powers act initiated by Trump’s order. Many millions of these doses have been humanitarian-crisis exported around the world as part of US Aid to save lives. The only people acting like it’s kryptonite are the wackaliberals and Trump-haters.
If you governor and/or congresscritter won’t allow this treatment for their state after 7 months then throw them out. Six months for most states to recall. 76 days if they’re on the Nov ballot.
People need to stop whining like they’re helpless and get it done instead of expecting Trump to run the free world AND their state. Stop waiting for someone else to take the first step. We ARE the first step. So, Just Do It.

What can’t be done ?
The president can’t stop states from blocking HCQ.
Citizens, however, can go to a state without the blocks in place from their state government.
A law would have to be passed through Congress to approximate what you want.

I get your point but, while I am opposed to unilateral executive action, in a case (this one) where state health edicts are imposed by governors and bureaucrats for
explictly political and financial reasons, indisputably costing thousands of American lives, I’d say do it and take me to the Supremes next year.
