yes, awful. you don’t like to take capsules or tablets? that’s the better way to go. Another very effective form of mag is 100% pure transdermal spray.
Magnesium binds to different elements, some of which do not absorb (ie you will get diarrhea). The ones that are most absorbable are malate and glycinate
I have seen that too- it was awhile back, so I’ll have to re research it
Quercetin is a godsend for me with my mast cell disorder.
Yeah i know my friend was told to cut down on things like potassium, salt, phosphorous (in dark sodas), canned foods, salty snacks- bananas, dairy etc
Seems like a lot of things have salt or phosphorus, or potassium in it- woudl be a hard diet to adhere to i woudl think
I think ECGC is supposed to help with that- not sure though- might wanna check that out-
We take daily, no matter what.
500mg Quercetin with 50mg of Zinc Citrate
Also, we take 600mg of NAC
100mcg of K-2 along with 5000IU D3
3000mg of vitamin C
That’s our daily vitamin regiment. It’s kinda of a lot, but so far, so good.
Thanks for that suggestion. Btw, my friend with the kidney problems has kidney stones a lot, too, which is why she has a restricted diet. I dont think I have a vitamin D deficiency so I alternate between 2500 IU and 5000 IU daily. My husband, on the other hand, is vitamin D deficient, so he takes the full 5000 IU daily.
We are blessed that neither of us has any real health issues, other than my allergies and that we could both stand to lose 10 pounds. We try, but we arent very successful for very long. A couple of pounds come off, and then they return.
Well i have health issues where Mag causes the inestinal issues pretty badly- i tried this magnesium cuz it was touted as not causing the issues as much-
Ive heard two different things that help absorption, but dont know how true they are. One is to take with Vitamin C, and the other was to eat a meal with meat, and take it with that meal.
Bromelain is supposed to work synergistically with quercetin, but it's not advsed if you're allergic to pineapple.
I can't take the combo, only the plain quercetin.
What does the NAC do?
Stones aint fun- i passed over 60 stones one year- around 20 the next, till i learned salt was a big factor- I was a junk food nut for awhile- now i only get a few a year- I do miss my chips though :(
This is what my doctor has said to take - no precautions mentioned. But if you have liver problems I would make sure with your doctor that there is no problem. I take one of each every day - doctor says this will help prevent it and make it less serious if I do get it.
Good luck!
I HIGHLY recommend you read up on LOW stomach acid (not high). Low acid can cause real digestive issues and is extremely prevalent. You probably used a poor version of mag in the first place, which cause loose bowels, but gut issues from LSA are real. Once you get that in better working form, you’ll be able to supplement and actually get the benefits from supps
Thanks for that- I’d read about NAC too awhile back- will have to look into that again too- I think if i remember right, it might have warning about not taking if you have bleeding disorders (I think i read that People with bleeding ulcers and such need to avoid)- I’ll have to check again-
How much do you take for allergies?
“...What does the NAC do?...”
It supposedly provides immunity support for the liver and lungs.
Thanks, will check that out- There’s another form of Mag that is supposed to be non laxative too- Mag Bisglycinate- gonna give that one a try next- after i gag through the rest of this ionic mag lol
One Protocol...
Prophylaxis While there is extremely limited data, the following cocktail may have a role in the prevention/mitigation of COVID-19 disease. It should however be noted that a recent publication suggests that melatonin my reduce the risk of COVID-19 infection.[1] This cocktail is cheap, safe, and widely available.
Vitamin C 500 mg BID (twice daily) and Quercetin 250-500 mg BID
Zinc 50-75 mg/day (elemental zinc). Zinc lozenges are preferred. After 1 month, reduce the dose to 30-50 mg/day.
Melatonin (slow release): Begin with 0.3mg and increase as tolerated to 2 mg at night
Vitamin D3 2000-4000 u/day
Optional: Famotidine 20-40 mg/day
I can’t take the melatonin, it zonks me out...
Just persuade your doctor you have head lice or scabies and need Stromectol ( ivermectin) ...the dosage is small and the drug is safe, after your doc OKs it
There are other ways to get ivermectin
Can order from online pharma
Until they shut us off from this, too
