These latter-day Robespierres would have served themselves better by studying history rather than indulging in the stupidity of 21st century groupthink.

I don’t see why it isn’t more greatly promoted, as the differences between conservatives and leftists are now irreconcilable

Many "Conservatives" think ( do they think? ) being a secessionist is WORSE than being a Marxist and a statue toppling anarchist. I don't understand this.

>> Their defenses of the French Revolution led to stern rebukes from those who remember how that revolution ended up. <<

Even Joe Biden isn’t THAT old. ;-)

I picked up my 14 year old grandson the other day while I was listening to an Audible book biography on Napoleon. I was shocked to hear that he actually had a cursory knowledge of the subject, learned in school. That they still include Napoleon in their curriculum is surprising. I don’t know how they twist this into their typical anti white American history lessons.

And what followed the bloody mob run French Revolution? Napoleon.

“ I really like this idea. I don’t see why it isn’t more greatly promoted, as the differences between conservatives and leftists are now irreconcilable and mutually incompatible. Two countries should live side by side, and we would actually get along much better, akin to the U.S. and Canada — laughing at each others differences, instead of bearing incalculable hatred. The current trajectory is going to lead to greater violence and death.”

I agree 100%. Separate peacefully into two countries: one composed of those desiring freedom and individual responsibility, the other composed of the nanny staters and deadbeats. It could work well (provided there is not an autocrat as president who would wage total war against the region wanting to leave).

Yet another reason that history is no longer taught.

You don’t have to worry about the horrific mistakes of the past if you’re ignorant, and the leftists in the street are perfect examples of those leftists.
