The lesson for cops now, when a black suspect runs, let him go. NEVER put your life and career in jeopardy again.
Finally, the right response about this incident.
Yup, everything was just fine until he resisted and attacked the cops.
Once that act has been committed, the whole situation changes.
My CCW training over the years and rule one is :
Remove yourself from the situation before you need to defend yourself...if you can.
Once the guy was on the run, the threat to the cops was over.
He had a taser. Not a gun. He has already been identified and the cops can pick him up later.
A horrible ending to the incident, however, it could have been different if the fellow had just said thanks and gotten in the car after blowing a 0.108 on the meter.

That’s what I’m thinking too, but it looks like the proggies have convinced the Democrats that they represent the will of the people. Probably because Pelosi’s in California and is the only one of the bunch who understands how to wield power. They really are going all in on the crazy, and on the hard sell of the crazy.
The cops were professional.
They were following standard procedure for dealing with a guy who was passed out drunk in his car.
The perp himself seemed to be cooperative with what should have been a routine DUI arrest.
He could have simply gone peacefully, slept it off in jail and gone home the next day.
But noooo.... he went ape$hit for no reason, grabbed the cop's taser, ran, then turned and fired once from what I could see, and the cops shot him with bullets.
This is ALL on the perp.
There was NO racism at all on the cop's part.
If any white guy did that, he'd be shot, too.
Even a *rich* white, privileged guy like Bill Gates.
