Side note: I like the double pun, one where you change two words and the new sentence has meaning of its own, but you still get the sense of the original.
I watched it yesterday and it’s fine, but it should NEVER be presented without being accompanied by the clip, not too long ago actually, where he says he would absolutely root for an economic downturn to screw Trumps reelection.
I believe that’s a little more significant than what to call the virus. But sure everybody clap for Bill Maher.

This might be one indicator that Bill Maher is privately conservative in his own life and publicly “liberal” in his public persona.
I totally agree with you. Really great writing. Are you a Dire Straits fan? Mark Knofler wrote the best double double entendre in all of literature.
Not a “fan fan”, but I like what I’ve heard of theirs.
