The government says we're in a pandemic. Hydroxychloroquine protocol has been used successfully by many physicians. But some doctors want us to wait until further testing has proved its efficacy for COVID-19. We should ask if it is ethical to withhold a drug, generally considered safe, and currently used for such ailments as rheumatoid arthritis, and which has cured others of COVID-19, when the alternative is possible death? In my opinion to require double blind testing for this drug at this time is unethical and potentially criminal.
