>>some of the best documentaries produced in history
Wrong plenty of errors contained with and there is also the bias factor
Agreed, Bull...ish.
Burns, Netflix, two who should be and probably are on the right side of the Bell Curve.
Almost all tv shows are available on eztv with a vpn and a torrent program.
Amen! His Baseball “documentary” is garbage.
Definitely more than leans left. One world propagandist, Burns is. Crybaby too.
He (and pbs) brought out baseball during the big baseball strike in the 90s. Nobody watched it because they were pissed at MLB and the Union. Smooth move.
In the background of his documentaries there seems to always be someone plucking at a banjo.
Burns is obsessed with race. If he could gear back his white guilt his films would be very good. I refused to watch the country music series. I like Charlie Pride as much as the next guy but...
When obammy joined Netflix I found out Susan Rice was on the board.
That's the day I cancelled.
“When obammy joined Netflix I found out Susan Rice was on the board. That’s the day I cancelled.”
Same day we cancelled Netflix.
We quit Netflix a long time ago, so I won’t miss anything they delete.
I had to watch “The War” twice to enjoy it. I was able to ignore the political correctness the second time. All in all, it was a pretty good film.
Agree 100%!
I 100% agree. IMHO his Civil War documentary had interesting little factoids. Like that Sherman's men ate better after they left Atlanta and marched east. Even though it was getting away from civilization, but they just happened to be going through fields when it was near harvest time. So if you like little micro details like that it is great.
But for the life of me I can't imagine making a Civil War documentary last tens of hours and not spend at least 15 minutes pointing out that the abolitionist movement was almost completely driven by Christians, largely Protestant, and with a passion.
The subliminal theme in his jazz doc was black players good, white players not so good.
Spoiler. The war was only about slavery. White man bad.
Perfect. Old National Lampoon style humor. Love the letter from space. Thank you.
Country music fans know Charlie Pride.
I don’t need some fag to tell me he is amazing.
That and emancipation and abolition are two different things.
Yes the Lewis and Clark doc is outstanding. When that historian gets choked up at the end, wow
Spot on. I wouldn't watch his tripe if someone were to hold a gun to my head.
