. . . allowed our county to become insanely dependent on China for the supply chains for a vast array of critical products.

Including something as benign as vitamin supplements. Shelves at the local Wal-Mart almost cleaned out. Who hoards that kind of stuff? I was running low and looked for garlic pills - cleaned out also. Same question.

Then I looked at the labels: "Made in China", as was most all of my items. So . . . not hoarding, just running out because of the interrupted replenishment lines.
