I remember when Lucille was released and revitalized his career. I worked at a sawmill weekends, breaks, and summer when going to college. Listening to the local radio on my way to work early one morning, the DJ announced that after a break, he'd play the new tear-jerking song by Kenny Rogers.

Half the new country singers are more into singing about ass shaking and inuendos about sex. I can’t even put it on for the kids to listen to anymore, except for classic country stations.
