I hate it when people try to silence dissent by saying it makes them feel "unsafe". Socialists such as Sanders and Warren make me fear that my family's assets will be confiscated. Should they be prevented from speaking?

A library is an arm of the government. The government has no right to suppress freedom of speech or thought. The Constitution forbids the government from controlling speech or thought. The library will be in violation of the law if it blocks this, and the director needs to be thrown in jail.
(Never happen).
By leftist logic (an oxymoron if there ever was one), it certainly should.
But it is only a one way street in lefty land.
There was a time where it was encouraged to enter debate and discussion with opposing points of view. It encourage critical thinking, self reflection, perhaps understanding the other side somewhat better.
Now we’re not supposed to upset people with honestly held opinions. The acceptance of diversity of thought is no longer accepted.
If men pretending to be women are accepted in all women’s sports, you may as well eliminate women’s sports.
It it was a drag queen conference, they would be welcomed no questions asked.

On February 1, 2020, Meghan Murphy, Saba Malik, and Kara Dansky will give a critical analysis of gender identity and make powerful arguments for sex-based women’s rights. The event will take place at the beautiful Seattle Central Library in downtown Seattle, Washington.
Writer Meghan Murphy will speak on the philosophical and political problems in the claims made by proponents of gender identity. Feminist and environmentalist Saba Malik will address the way gender identity advocates compare transphobia with racism and why this is both inaccurate and offensive. Lawyer Kara Dansky will explain the significance of female erasure in the law and how feminists are fighting back. A Q and A session moderated by writer and activist Lierre Keith will follow.

Meghan Murphy is a writer in Vancouver, BC, and the founder and editor of Feminist Current.
Saba Malik is a longtime radical feminist and environmental activist. She is a founding member of Deep Green Resistance and a board member of Fertile Ground Institute.

When soc-soc-socializts like Marxine Watters speak, it puts me in fear I may be dragged out of my car for my white skin and be beaten tarred and feathered or worse necklaced. Why aren’t these people in prison or exile?
Libraries have served their purpose. Since everything has been scanned electronically, what needs to be done is to BURY the books and other documents underground, so that they can survive a nuclear exchange.
Maybe keep the Library of Congress open and a handful of other public libraries, but close the rest. Between librarians DEMANDING that libraries be ‘safe spaces’ for kids to watch hard-core porn, and now inviting trannies in, the people working in those libraries OBVIOUSLY hate this country for what it is - so let them move on, and who knows, maybe find another country more to their liking.

We’re seeing a return to tribal morality enforced by violence.
Social justice jihadis are appropriating Islam’s tribal morality and the Indian caste system. That each person’s worth is based on skin color, ancestry and belief system.
They all also equate violation of social norms with literal violence. For societies on the edge of survival, you punished illegitimate births severely because families couldn’t afford children that didn’t have a dedicated father to feed it. And you punished disruptions to social order because it so often led to murder.
The equating of speech with violence justifies violence to silence non-PC speech. It is the emotional foundation for blasphemy laws and killing the infidel who doesn’t hide their evil unbelief. It also justifies violence against those who don’t adhere to the dress code, speech code and behavioral rules. Hence the death threats against TERFs and a rape shelter in Canada getting defunded and vandalized for sending a mentally ill man in a dress away.
