It’s for real this time. The GOPe is giving POTUS the IG report as an excuse for doing nothing substantive as the House impeaches him.
There would be no impeachment inquiry were it not for the Intelligence IG. No one is believing “man of integrity” crap since Mueller blew up.
And then “embarrassing” for a few of the Swamp Creatures. Joe D. has even a law license or two might be lost over it. And Trump has taken to claiming victory over the Swamp because some of the obvious — Comey, McCabe, etc., — are no longer serving in his admin.
Sure, some flunky or two may end up with a suspended sentence for some bullet-taking along the way, but most of Barr and Durham’s investigations into this sort of thing are done to get the actual incriminating evidence sealed away.
If the IG report shows criminal behavior, watch the Democrats show us what a proper defense of charges looks like.
Republicans could learn from them.
I still remember when James Comey enumerated Hillary Clintons' deliberate, 'malice aforethought' wrong doings and then said, 'I don't see intent'.
What we'll get from this report is 'mistakes were made'.

Exactly. Can you imagine Harry Reid hiding under his desk in his Majority Leader office if a GOP House was abusing a Dem POTUS like this? Not in a million years.
I thought it was strange when Sen. Grassley and Grahamnesty did the shuffle whereby Grahamnesty took over the Judicial Committee.
I thought at the time that it meant either that (i) Grahamnesty was taking over to really go after the culprits of the soft coup attempt or (ii) Grahamnesty was taking over the committee to make sure nothing was done about it. With the House in the hands of Pelousy, that would ensure the culprits would never be held accountable.
It looks like curtain no. (ii) prevails. Grahamnesty is all bluff and no action.
Horowitz has referred both Comey and McCabe for prosecution previously. The DOJ under Barr declined to prosecute in both instances. I don’t have much confidence in Horowitz but he did refer two of the biggest fish only to have Barr blow them off. I don’t believe there was a deal where Horowitz (wink wink nod nod) refers and Barr declines. There was speculation at time that Barr would go for prosecution when more easily prosecuted referrals came out of the FISA report. If neither happens Horowitz and Barr are both DS operatives and I’ll see you at the barricades.
Don’t get your hopes up. THIS GOVERNMENT IS ALL WINDUP AND NO PITCH. First, I’m betting nothing happens on December 11 or whenever. Second, if it does, it will be nothing burger; a major attempt to downplay everything. Don’t forget Graham is a charter member of the swamp. Anytime you think that’s not true, just remember the $21m the senate used to cover up sexual harassment claims. He said nothing. That little twerp Graham was there the entire time and silent. The GOP are cowards of the worst kind. Don’t get your hopes up. I pray the good Lord will protect our POTUS. No one in the Senate will.
I don’t understand why people are breathlessly awaiting an administrative report that will change nothing from a known whitewash artist.
